It’s all change at Carter Community School where a wide range of improvements are well underway.
Parents of prospective students will get the opportunity to see first hand when the Hamworthy based school holds its latest series of coffee mornings on 13th and 27th April and 11th and 25th May, running from 9am until 11am.
With a climate for learning that motivates, engages and inspires, the school is directly supporting this with a programme of physical enhancements that started last year and will run through to the end of this academic year. These changes include:
Refurbished dining room and assembly hall (completed last year)
New dance studio and refurbished gym (opening after the Easter break)
General improvements to the building and classrooms (to be carried out this summer)
New render to the front of the building (to be carried out this summer)
Commented Principal Sam Davidson:
“There is a real determination and drive to provide the very best standard of education at Carter Community School and we want this to be reflected not just in the quality of teaching and learning but also in our facilities, making it the ideal climate for inspirational and aspirational learning.”
During the coffee mornings, which will run at the Blandford Close site, visitors will hear Ms Davidson’s vision for the school, as well as being taken on guided tours of the facilities by Year 7 students who will recount their experiences. There will also be the opportunity to visit classrooms and see teaching and learning first hand.
