Carter student Jade Norris is celebrating after winning special honours at United Learning’s national ‘Best in Everyone’ Secondary School Awards.
United Learning is a group of independent schools and academies located across the country. Each year it hosts an awards ceremony to recognise the achievements of its students. Students were nominated by their teachers for subject-based and sports awards as well as awards which recognised their wider service to their school.
Jade was given the award for The Musical Performance award. Her nomination read ‘Jade is a stunning singer with a voice full of expression and colour whilst remaining technically secure and agile. Jade is confident and enchants her audience with her confident yet unassuming stage presence.’ She received her Award at the black tie awards ceremony which was held on Friday 3rd July at Surbiton High School. Jade also performed and stunned the audience. She was accompanied by Carter student Sonny Barber.
Carter Principal said: I am so proud of Jade. She is a model pupil who is not only passionate about developing her own abilities, but will encourage, teach and help cultivate confidence amongst her peers.
