Students Take Part in Carol Concert

Students Take Part in Carol Concert

Published: 14 December 2016

On Saturday 10th December a small group of students from the school choir went to the Old Rope Walk to take part in a carol concert arranged by one of the residents, Mrs Gwen Barnett.

The event was very well attended by residents of the Old Rope Walk and family members; the Mayor of Poole and Major Stephen Brevitt of Poole Salvation Army were also in attendance. The girls, ably assisted by Philippa Ledger, led the carol singing, much to the delight of everyone there. Everyone was very complimentary of the singing at the end of the service, and the girls were a credit to themselves and the school.

At the end, the girls got to meet father Christmas, who gave them each a present, and had chance to speak to the Mayor, who thanked them for their efforts. It was lovely to be invited to this service and to bring some festive cheer into the community.
