Students will
Cover all areas of the National Curriculum.

- Shape, Space and Measure.
- Handling Data
- Using and applying mathematics.
- They will be expected to work at an appropriate level to their ability in the subject.
- They will be expected to talk about their work and explain what they are doing using relevant mathematical language.
- They will do aural, mental and investigative work as well as writing in their class books.
How you can help
- Make sure that all homework is attempted.
- You can buy a Mathematics Co-ordination Group revision book at the appropriate level from the school for £2 to £3.
- Encourage your child to practice their mental arithmetic.
- Look at the mathematical diagrams used in the newspapers and on television.
- Make sure that your child has a scientific calculator.
