As part of the compulsory curriculum, in years 10 and 11 students will study:
- English GCSE and English Literature GCSE
- Double Award Science (GCSE)
- Mathematics GCSE
- Physical Education
- Beliefs and Values – through a series of collapsed timetable days.
All students are required to study 3 option subjects over the next two years. Students will study all 3 options subjects as a two-year course in years 10 and 11. This is in addition to the compulsory curriculum which will also be delivered over 2 years.
All students are required to study 3 option subjects that commence in year 10 and continue to end of year 11.
Students will be asked to record first and second choices from option blocks 1, 2 and 3.
Students must consider this carefully as there is no guarantee that we can give everyone their first choice.
Option blocks are determined based on student feedback and this changes yearly. Below is an example of the option block choices we have offered previously. All students must choose at least one of: History, Geography or French.
- Students will be asked to complete their choices at their ‘Guidance Interview’ based on the format below.
