Normandy Trip

A group of lucky students from Years 7, 8 and 9 took part in their first action packed residential in France during last half term.

For some of the 29 taking part (plus four members of staff), it was their first time abroad, with the group staying at the Acorn Adventure site Hauteville-sur-Mer in Normandy.

An amazing time was had by all during the five day residential, which included a wide range of activities including climbing, raft-building, archery, kayaking, fencing, bushcraft, high ropes and nightline – a blindfolded obstacle course where everyone got soaking wet!

When the group weren’t facing their fears of heights and water, they took time out to visit a French hypermarket, the local beach and ice-cream parlour, as well as the historic town of Bayeux.

Thank you very much to Hamworthy Co-op for its donation of products for the trip - their generosity was much appreciated!
