Pride of Carter 2017

Olympic rower Guin Batten was guest of honour at Carter Community School’s annual awards. Students and staff celebrated another fantastic year at the 2017 ‘Pride of Carter Awards,’ held at Poole’s Lighthouse Theatre on Monday 19th June. Held annually, this year was the first time the awards were staged off-site, and with the Lighthouse Theatre as the  venue, who better to help present the prizes and inspire the audience of parents, pupils, staff and school governors than Olympic rower and world record holder Guin Batten.

It was a wonderful evening which  truly celebrated student success, recognising achievement and commitment across all year groups and curriculum areas.  The event also provided the perfect showcase for students to entertain guests with a variety of dance, drama and musical performances.
